Hogar del Niño|PHOTOSHOOT GIVEAWAY

Nearly three years ago (three years ago??) I flew from my comfortable life in the states to the hottest, most humid place I've ever lived--El Salvador.  My husband and I held hands in the bus that picked us from the airport as we made our way to our new home for the next three months at the Hogar del Niño Padre Vito Guarato, an orphanage for handicapped children and adults in San Salvador.  I had no clue, really, as to what I was getting myself into that summer.  I knew it'd be tough, I knew I'd learn a lot, but NEVER did I imagine I'd come home with the plan to do whatever it took to continue to help those kids in any way.

I have a million posts of my time at the Hogar, if you care to read my ramblings, but if you want to really learn what the Hogar Program is all about, go here.  My experience at the Hogar changed my life, 100% for the better.

For the last two and half years I've worked hand in hand with the director of the Hogar Program, Rachel Nielson, by recruiting volunteers to go to the orphanage nine months out of the year (two volunteers every three months).  We are currently looking for volunteers to live at the orphanage this coming summer, fall, and next winter as well.  Do you know anyone who would be the perfect fit for this program?

What exactly you're winning: 

   -a photo shoot for up to 6 people-- family photos, senior portraits, maternity session, newborn session, birth story, bridals, engagements, birthday session, anytime photos, or a special event .  You can enter for yourself or for a friend as a gift, but I will photograph in Utah County, UT.  I will be in Marietta, Georgia toward the beginning to middle of May, and will also be in Greensboro, North Carolina within the year as well for those of you in those areas.  If you're a PA-er, I hope to be in the area by the end of the summer, but if not my amazing sister-in-law offered to stand in my place if I'm unable to make it there by then.  Or if you're coming to UT for a visit, I will gladly work with your schedule.  You will receive a disc of images with printing rights.
